Ethoxybrite CS80 Interested?

Category:

surfactant / Surfactant, non-ionic

CAS / EINECS:

CAS no.:68439-49-6

EINECS no.. :

Specialist:

Information:

Ethoxylated fatty alcohol

Synonyms: Alcohols, C16-18, ethoxylated, alkyl polyglycol ether

Ethoxybrites are mild, non-ionic surfactants. De mildness is the consequence of non-ionics not having strong electrical charges. They are suitable for:

  • Cleaning wool and other delicate fabrics
  • Cleansing face, hands and other skins
  • Emulsifying of other ingredients in detergents and cosmetics
  • Wetting skin and hair in cosmetic products

The higher the cloud point, the higher the solubility of ethoxylated fatty alcohols in water.

Innovation:

Ethoxybrite CS80 was developed to render solid cleaning blocks a stable solid form with high cleaning power. For example soap bars and toilet blocks. Its higher degree of ethoxylation makes Ethoxybrite CS80 a more aggressive cleaner than lower ethoxylated versions. The larger part of its raw materials is of vegetal (sustainable) sources. As such Ethoxybrite CS80 is the ideal raw material for any green detergent.

We refer to our range Ethoxylated EFA. The cloud point is the temperature at which an aqueous solution of a water-soluble surfactant becomes turbid.  This is also the point at which the carbon chains acquire so much energy that they let go of each other. The non-ionic separates into its own phase.  For maximum efficacy, Ethoxybrite’s EFA should be used at temperatures at or just below their cloud point. Optimizing micelle formation can limit the chain lengths of ethoxylated fatty alcohols that are available for your application. Our Ethoxybrite EFA line has a number of chain lengths available so that one can tailor the non-ionic to do what is required.

Technical:

Ethoxybrite CS80 is manufactured from sustainable RSPO-MB palm kernel oil. Sirius is member of the RSPO, the international Round table for Sustainable Palm Oil. This institute rewards certificates for palmoil products, such as soap noodles and ethoxylated fatty alcohols, if they are sustainably grown, harvested and manufactured with protection of nature coming first.

Commercial:

Packaging:                        25kg HDPE bags on pallets

The Sirius Effect: Palm oil is a hot topic nowadays, on which there is a lot of uncertainty. Sirius International consciously opts for sustainable palm kernel oil, which is RSPO certified. Sirius director Leo Verboeket and RSPO's deputy director Ruben Brunsveld explain why. “The palm oil and palm kernel oil we use are the most sustainable vegetable oils especially in terms of efficient land and water use.”
