Planning

Of course, you want to have the right raw materials at the right time, so your production can continue as planned and you don’t incur unnecessary costs. We take care of that. For each customer and each raw material, we use careful planning, which we constantly monitor. In doing so, we consider peak seasons, worldwide public holidays and other matters that could have an impact on the planning.

We even maintain shadow planning for your company. So, if you ever forget to order, there’s nothing to worry about. This way, you’ll stay on track, and production continues as usual.

Storage

Safety and accessibility first at Sirius. That’s why we run in Europe no less than four different warehouses for different geographic markets, raw materials and activities. We store hazardous and non-hazardous chemical raw materials separately. A third warehouse is used for repackaging and mixing raw materials. We also have a warehouse for transferring raw materials in silo cars.

The drivers who deliver the raw materials to you have been trained for this purpose. We make sure the codes on the documents, vehicles and containers correspond to the load.

Packaging

How do you want the chemical raw materials to be delivered? We tailor the packaging to your production. Solids: from small bags, accurate to the gram, to big bags weighing up to 1100 kg. Liquids: from jerry cans of a few litres to IBCs of 900 to 1250 kg.

For bulk deliveries of powder and granulate, we use silo trucks, for liquid tankers or isotanks. We also take the nature of the product into account. Some raw materials are sensitive to moisture and temperature changes. For other raw materials, it’s important not to put pressure on them. We adapt the packaging to this so that your raw materials are well protected.

Handling in the production department is also important. Employees must be able to work quickly, easily and safely with our packaging.

Documentation

We understand that the people at the factory gate need to have the right information about the raw material. All documents issued by the driver on delivery are correct and complete: the waybill and the product certificates.

Legislation

Of course, you want to trust that we’ve arranged everything in accordance with the legislation. Our products are registered in the country of delivery and registered in Europe under REACH. Our safety data sheets meet the latest standards. And our labels contain the correct hazard codes. So everything’s taken care of.

Improvement procedure

Is the delivery not as agreed? Please let us know. According to our ISO9001 system we prepare our improvement form, which we share with the entire supply chain. To this end, we take the following actions:
• We plan a corrective action within 1 day
• Within 1 week we will give a definite answer about the most likely cause of the deviation
• Within 2 weeks we indicate how we will ensure that it does not recur.
Based on if necessary, we will improve our process. Every complaint is welcome, because it also brings us new ideas.
