Category:

chelates / Phosphate, Phosphonate

CAS / EINECS:

CAS no.:181828-06-8, 35608-40-6

EINECS no.. :

Specialist:

Information:

Britequest PAPEMP has a high calcium tolerance and good deposit inhibiting effects, especially on silica deposits, calcium carbonate, calcium sulfate and calcium phosphate. It stabilizes metal ions such as Zn, Mn and Fe. Britequest PAPEMP is active in high water hardness environments, as well as high alkaline, high salt content, severe turbidity, high temperatures, high chloride and chlorite levels and biocide concentrations. For less harsh environments, we recommend our standard phosphonic acids such as Britequest HEDP and Britequest ATMP.

Britequest PAPEMP is used as a scale and corrosion inhibitor in cooling and boiler water, reverse osmosis, multiple flash evaporation systems and oil fields. In agriculture, Britequest PAPEMP is used as a nutrient absorber. In textile paint it is a color release inhibitor, as an alternative to EDTA, DTPA and NTA.

Technical:

Amounts of 5-100 mg per liter are normal. Unlike other water treatment chemicals, Britequest PAPEMP does not have an optimal dose. The more used, the better the effect.

Commercial:

Packaging 40% solution:
25liter jerry cans, 250kg (200liter) barrels, 1200kg (1000liter) IBC, 24mt ISO tank container (bulk)

Packaging 90% powder: 25kg bags, 1000kg bigbags, ISO tank container (bulk)

What does a sparkling room with gleaming floors and nearly-invisible windows have in common with the inside of your mouth? The presence of biofilm: invisible aggregates of bacteria, encapsulated in an extracellular matrix that can be extremely difficult to penetrate, growing on almost every surface. Depending on the species of bacteria, this extracellular matrix can resist undiluted chlorine bleach and other disinfectants. And while it is most likely to be present in damp areas, biofilms can be found on dry surfaces, as well.

Phosphonic acid and phosphonates are fine water softeners. Phosphonate molecules are characterized by adjacent phosphoric and oxygen atoms: P=O-OH. They dissolve readily in water, are chemically stable (no reaction with other ingredients) and function also at higher temperatures.
