Britequest HEDP Interested?

Category:

chelates / Phosphate, Phosphonate

CAS / EINECS:

CAS no.:2809-21-4

EINECS no.. :220-552-8

Specialist:

Information:

Synonyms: HEDPA, OEDP, Etidronic Acid, Hydroxyethylidene Diphosphonic Acid; 1-Hydroxy-1,1-Ethanediyl ester; Oxyethylidene diphosphonic acid;
phosphonic acid, [[bis [2- [bis (phosphonomethyl) amino] ethyl] amino] methyl] -; C2H8O7P2

Britequest HEDP and the cheaper Britequest ATMP are the most common phosphonic acids. Britequest HEDP is an excellent chelating agent, it inhibits scale immediately. Especially effective with Fe, Cu and Zn ions. Britequest HEDP is anti-corrosion at temperatures up to 250 ° C. Britequest HEDP is chemically stable to high pH values and difficult to hydrolyze. Compared to Britequest ATMP, Britequest HEDP is more resistant to chlorine.

Applications are industrial cooling and boiler water and oil refineries. In the paint industry, Britequest HEDP, because of its purity, is used to treat metal surfaces. Normally the 60% solution is used.

The Britequest HEDP-98% solid is suitable for sub-zero temperatures.

Technical:

Anti-deposit dose: 1-10 mg / l. Anti-corrosion dose: 10-50 mg / l. detergent dose: 1000-2000mg / l.

Britequest is often used in conjunction with polycarboxylic acid.

In more extreme situations of high basic contents, high water hardness, high temperature, high salt content, and extreme turbidity, it is recommended to use specialized products. Like Britequest PAPEMP.

Britequest PBTC is recommended for even higher chlorine stability.

Commercial:

Packaging 60% solution: 25liter jerry cans, 250kg (200liter) barrels, 1250kg (1000liter) IBC, 24mt ISO tank container (bulk)
Packaging 98% crystals: 25kg bags

The Sirius effect:   We’d like to have a product line where everything is sustainably produced, biodegradable, eco-friendly. However, the reality is that not everything can be made that way. Concessions must sometimes be made, and this is true of phosphates. Sirius acknowledges the damage they can do, but we can also try to minimize their environmental effects.

Phantastic Phosphates

The Sirius Effect: Phosphate molecules are often found in combination with other elements, such as calcium, sodium, potassium, aluminum and nitrogen. The chemical derivates of phosphoric acid have a wide range of use – from wastewater treatment to detergency, fertilizers, food, and soft drinks. Sirius International offers various types of Britequest phosphonics and Britephos phosphates suitable for multiple applications. As we followed the regulatory legislation for the past 15 years, we can advise you exactly which phosphorus raw material is optimal for your consumer, industrial or food-grade end product without causing structural changes in the ecosystem and without the associated risks! Precisely 350 years ago, the German alchemist Hennig Brand was performing experiments on urine. Strangely enough, after drying, he found crystals that glowed in the dark and lit up when burnt. His discovery has changed the world – phosphorus. Today, it not only allows the modern society to use watches with luminous dials, or fill the sky with spectacular fireworks during New Year’s Eve. It’s also actively used in important industries like water recycling and detergent manufacturing.
