Information:
Britens SLS has been proven to increase the cleaning performance of Britens LAS and Britens AOS. So by adding SLS, less anionic is needed in total, which ensures a better washing result and/or a cheaper washing powder. The solubility of Britens SLS depends on the length of the carbon chain. C12C14 is the most soluble, but the particles are softer and create more dust. C12C18 particles are harder granules, but the solubility is lower.
Innovation:
Sirius has chosen the SLS carbon length of C12C16; the improved ratio between solubility and detergency. And Sirius is in capable of producing a stable granulate. The degradability works well in this regard.
Technical:
Britens SLS can irritate skin and respiratory system. Skin allergy has been identified in cases. The washing power is decent.
Commercial:
Packaging: 25 kg bags

Fatty alcohols are hydrophobic; water repellent. To make a surfactant molecule out of fatty alcohols one side should hold a hydrophilic group. Like this, dirt can dissolve in the fatty part, while the hydrophilic group maintains contact with the water; the principle of washing.

One of the top priorities of Sirius International’s team is to develop innovative products, manufacturing ways and supply solutions to improve the environment and thereby our safety, climate and future. The many possibilities this brings about come hand in hand with even more responsibilities. We need to stay up to date with the newest guidelines, restrictions and trends in our field. We’re working with RSPO (Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil), REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals), and Responsible Care®. Today we’d like to explain their most significant features.
